"Our current capacities are full, our members are achieving great successes worldwide, and our activities stimulate the competitiveness of the domestic economy. The new building of the Science and Technology Park is the largest greenfield investment so far, characterized by modern construction, a solar power plant, and creative and functional office space. Several dozen new innovative companies will find their home here, employing over 500 highly educated people. From the very beginning, we have progressed with small but sure steps, and this is now the crown of our years of work," said Mirko Pešić, director of the Science and Technology Park in Čačak, for RINA.

On the path of innovative development, Čačak has received great support from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, first led by Ana Brnabić, a proven advocate for the digitalization of Serbia, and now with Miloš Vučević, who attended the laying of the foundation stone for the new building of the Science and Technology Park.

"We have young, educated, and capable people, and through such projects, we want to retain them in their hometown and their Serbia. During today's visit to the Science and Technology Park in Čačak, I personally witnessed the excellent work these people are doing. Innovative companies are certainly our future, and this is a great story that we proudly support. The location of the Science and Technology Park in Čačak is particularly symbolic, as it is the site of the former giant factory Cer. From this place of a losing story, we are now creating new victories and a new Serbia. We have more such projects ahead of us across the country," stated Prime Minister Vučević.

The entire project of building the new Science and Technology Park in Čačak is also supported by the European Bank, with the new investment valued at over 20 million euros.

The event was attended by the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović, Minister for Public Investments Darko Glišić, EBRD Director for the Western Balkans Matteo Colangeli, and the Mayor of Čačak Milun Todorović.
